Anwar Suhaimi creates works using motion, physical computing, and spatial interventions for people moving through social and cultural environments, so that tensions between structures, power, and systems can gradually emerge. His practice explores how these tensions shape behaviour, perception, and spatial experience.

Working across artistic production, research, and writing, his practice is informed by observations of cultural behaviour, infrastructural systems, and everyday forms of negotiation and control.

Recent works and projects include From the Sea into the Seas (2026) for ILHAM Art Show 2026 at ILHAM Gallery, writing and research contributions for Indonesia Contemporary Art & Design (2022–2024), Water in a Tank in a Tank of Water (2021) at Wei-Ling Gallery, and Time Dilation (2019), presented as part of the Malaysia–Singapore Triennial Culture Showcase 2019 in collaboration with Nicholas Ong. He was a Jury Award recipient of the Bakat Muda Sezaman (Young Contemporary Award) 2019 organised by National Art Gallery Malaysia.
